Ballymac Hotel - Stonyford

It was clean and the staff were incredible and exceptional, beds were exceptionally comfortable. The room was absolutely spotless and warm, and the bathroom was nice looking. The hotel was in an excellent and unbeatable location, in lovely area very quiet. Breakfast food was brilliant, greatly enjoyed it:)))

We loved it and would recomand the place. We've chosen this pleasant and fabulous hotel for staying here with our husband.

Close proximity to scenic areas, perfect for nature walks or a quick escape into the outdoors. The communal areas, especially the bar and restaurant, sport a cozy yet classy vibe that encourages relaxation after a day of adventures.

The breakfast situation left much to be desired-cooked food options weren't available until after our planned departure, made for a frustrating start. The triple room could use some updating. The blinds didn't fully cover the window, raising privacy concerns, and the absence of curtains seemed like a significant oversight for a hotel aiming for comfort. Snacks or drinks stored in the rooms had been confiscated without notice, suggesting a lack of respect ' private spaces, and the overall room cleanliness seemed a bit below expectations, with the decor feeling outdated and the carpets appearing tired and worn.

It was just an excellent fit for taking strolls in Stonyford with fantastic value for money. The staff surprised me with an ice cream adorned with a sparkler to celebrate my birthday, a lovely touch. Make sure to ask for any special requests to enhance your stay.

Had a lovely 2-night stay with friends. The room was super clean and comfy. The staff were beyond helpful, like seriously, shoutout to the night porter! He even tracked down a charger I forgot in my room. The restaurant had delish food too, so we ate there both nights. Just wish the bar was a bit bigger, it got really packed!

The triple room was super comfy! I loved how spacious it felt, and the biscuits were a nice touch with my cuppa. Could hear some live music from the bar on Saturday, but it was all chill after midnight. Sunday night was really quiet, great for sleeping. But, breakfast could have started a bit earlier, like for the early risers. Nice vibe.

The stay was quite pleasant overall. The location was perfect for attending a concert nearby, although it was a bit difficult to reach the venue and a shuttle service would have been a great addition. The room was spacious and the bathroom was lovely, which added to the comfort of my stay. Just a minor issue with a leak over the TV, but it didn’t affect my overall experience too much.

The location of the ballymac hotel is amazin, especially for concert goers like us. The staff were really friendly and the room was clean and comfy. Breakfast was decent too. Great value for money, we were really pleased overall.

The area is a bit remote with no public transport so if u don't have a car it's tricky. Also struggled to get a taxi after the concert, it took ages to find one and was super expensive.

The large triple room was bothvery comfy and tidy. The friendly staff offered efficient service, and the breakfast with a delicious Ulster fry was a highlight. The lack of a vegetarian option for the breakfast menu was disappointing, and the noise from the nearby pub was noticeable on Saturday night. A shuttle bus to local events would definitely enhance future stays.
